Dear Parents:

As discussed in this newsletter, there were many excellent ideas generated during the parent focus groups conducted last November. The ideas are generating discussion and some may be implemented next academic year. Others represent directions SNEP is already embracing, and we appreciate the reinforcement. As a follow-up to the focus groups, we are asking you to read and consider the five major themes listed in this newsletter. We also ask that you provide some quick but important feedback by May 1^st

FIVE POSSIBLE "THEMES" to direct SNEP’S future—resulted from Parent Focus Groups.

THEME 1: Focus the school around strengths in Math, Science and Technology
THEME 2: Use Stella’s building, history, and partnerships to emphasis Culture and the Arts
THEME 3: The River and Outdoors: Leverage location for environmental and outdoor education.
THEME 4: Emphasize language and cultural exchanges in Embracing Globalization
THEME 5: Develop the Balanced, Whole Student: life and interpersonal skills, and community

QUESTION: Do you believe that any of these five ideas stand out as a way to substantially increase the value and attractiveness of Stella Niagara Education Park to current and potential students and their parents? You may answer as simply as stating, "Yes, I really like # X" or you may wish to elaborate on why you believe a certain direction is in SNEP’s best interest and how you believe it will help increase enrollment or attract new resources.
