Library Classes:

Students in grades MK, K - 8 come to the library once/week.  The library is open to students and faculty when no classes are being held.  Teachers may bring students for special assignments as needed. Students in grades 3 - 8 are required to bring to class their assignment notebook, something to write with, paper to write on and a folder or space in their 3-ring binder for library materials.

Check-out of books:

MK and K students check-out one book at a time for one week.  Older students may check-out two books at a time for two weeks.  An assignment by a teacher will be allowed as more than the two books.  Books may be returned at any time before the end of the two weeks.  Books may be renewed for another two weeks, as long as there is not a waiting list for that book.  The student must bring the book with them when they renew the book.

POLICY ON OVERDUE BOOKS: If a student has an overdue book, they may not check out another book until the overdue book is returned.  That means that if a teacher assigns research in the library and books to be checked-out, the student may not check-out a book if they have one overdue.  The student can come to the library and read the book in the library and take notes in the library. Once the overdue book is returned full check-out privileges will be returned to the student.
