One hundred years ago, the Sisters of St. Francis came to the banks of the Niagara River, bringing with them the Franciscan values of peace and respect for life and all creation. These values have passed through generations of families who have entrusted their children’s education to the capable hands of the Sisters.

The stated mission of Stella Niagara to nurture a child’s heart, mind and body for life was born out of a century of service, education and peace. As our second century is about to begin, how might we ensure that future generations will reap the benefits that Stella families have come to expect?

The approximate cost of educating a child for one year at Stella Niagara is $7,600. The Sisters of Saint Francis believe that every child deserves a quality education. In keeping with that belief, tuition at Stella Niagara is kept reasonably low at an annual rate of $4,650 (2007-08 rate). Additional money must be raised through fundraising to bridge the financial gap between tuition and actual expenditure.

We appeal to alumni, parents, grandparents and friends for the support that can make a marked difference in the lives of our current students. Donations made to Stella Niagara are an important source of operational support for the fundamental needs of the school as well as academic improvements. Enhancing literacy and math programs and keeping technology programs current are goals that are now being realized by the teaching staff at Stella Niagara.

Generous gifts provide the funding necessary to create a program with a margin of excellence that is consistently reflected in high test scores, school rankings and the ease with which Stella students transition to the high school environment.

The Office of Institutional Advancement and Board of Directors assist donors in identifying the right strategy for giving that meets their charitable goals. Here are ways in which you can directly support Stella Niagara.

A cash donation is the easiest and most common way of giving. Simply make your check payable to Stella Niagara Education Park, and mail to 4421 Lower River Road, Stella Niagara, New York 14144.

Some individual donors and companies prefer to donate products and/or services to Stella Niagara. Examples of in-kind services are Stella’s soccer field and basketball court.

A donor may designate Stella Niagara Education Park in his/her will as the recipient of real or personal property, which will be transferred to the school when the donor is deceased.
