The
week of May 22, is the last week to check out books from the library.
All books are to be returned to the library by June 1.
Thank you for your cooperation in returning the books on time so we
can do inventory and get the library ready for next year.
Welcome to the Sister Nicholas Macoretta Library
web page! These pages are designed to be helpful to students, teachers and
parents. Mrs. Mastroianni is available for extra help
in the Library and Media Lab. Just ask.
Mrs. Mastroianni - email:
lms@stellaniagara.org
phone: 716-754-4311 ext. 415
S. Lucina, Mrs. Copeland and Mrs. Johnson have very kindly volunteered to help in the
library. Please feel free to stop in and say hi when they are in the
library.
Library Classes:
Students in grades MK, K - 8 come to the library once/week. Teachers
may bring the students for special assignments as needed. Students in
grades 3 - 8 are required to bring to class something to write with, paper
to write on and a folder or space in their 3-ring binder for library
materials.
Check-out of books:
MK and K students check-out one book at a time. Older students may
check-out two books at a time. An assignment by a teacher will be
allowed as more than the two books. Books are checked out for 2
weeks but may be returned at any time before the end of the two weeks.
Books may be renewed for another two weeks, as long as there is not a
waiting list for that book. The student must bring the book with
them when they renew the book.
POLICY ON OVERDUE BOOKS: If a student has an overdue book, they
may not
check out another book until the overdue book is returned. That
means that if a teacher assigns research in the library and books to be
checked-out, the student may not check-out a book if they have one
overdue. The student can come to the library and read the book in
the library and take notes in the library. Once the overdue book is
returned full check-out privileges will be returned to the student.
